Welcome to my webpage! I am the author of Concentration Camps: A Photographic Guidebook and creator of the YouTube channel www.youtube.com/@bearwitnessww2. I am also an Operation Desert Storm veteran, former high school science teacher, former college human anatomy/chemistry professor, cancer survivor, and physician associate (PA-C).

Professional degrees include a Master of Science in Educational Leadership Studies from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Health Science from the University of Oklahoma. I am a Nationally Certified Physician Associate (PA-C) and have worked in family medicine, hospital medicine, and stroke/vascular neurology.

My interest in WWII history stems from my grandmother’s and both my grandfather’s military service during WWII. My paternal grandfather landed on Utah Beach on D-Day + 4. Through my interest in WWII, I became passionate about Holocaust Education and have a special interest in survivor stories and camp history/geography.

I enjoy traveling as a means to experience and learn from other cultures. I strive to grow from what I learn and I hope - in my own small way - I’m able to give something meaningful back to the world.
